A Historic, Celebrated Washington DC Seafood Restaurant

For more than 25 years, Sea Catch Restaurant & Raw Bar has served up culinary inspiration in its fresh seafood, vintage ambiance and historic, scenic setting overlooking the C&O Canal. Changing, seasonal menus and a cozy atmosphere, featuring a crackling stone fireplace during the winter, and a beautiful outdoor deck in the summer, make Sea Catch a sublime dining destination year-round.
Housed in Georgetown's Canal Square Building, originally built in 1842, the restaurant's historic home was once the shipping warehouse for the bustling barge traffic on the canal. Years later, Herman Hollerith converted it into a factory for building punched card tabulating machines, and eventually merged his company with two others to create the International Business Machines Corporation, or IBM. In 1984, IBM honored the Canal Square Building as a historic site, calling it "the birthplace of the original computer." Today, it serves up great seafood in DC.
